I am writing to you from the year 2016, when I have reached the age of 38, in order to give you some advice.
At 38 years of age, time has really passed by in a blink. The one thing that the last few years has gifted me, (other than extra wrinkles) is many life lessons. I wish I had applied a few of these lessons to my world when I was 25, perhaps my journey would have been a bit smoother.
Stop being so insecure about your body and your place in society. Believe in yourself more, smile everyday, wear less make up, be yourself
Hungry to succeed at an early age, you need to stop putting so much pressure on yourself. Just take one positive step every day in the direction you want to travel in and you will reach your goal.
Eat less sugar
Call your parents every week and make sure they know how much you love them.
Buy fewer items but purchase quality pieces that will last.
Save your money so as a woman you are 100% financially independent.
Get rid of poor quality friends that do nothing but sap your time and energy.
Cherish your girlfriends
Walk away from men that make you cry and spend time with the ones that make you laugh.
When he shows you from day one that you are not the person for him, don’t waste another second on him in the hope he will fall in love with you…it never happens.
And most importantly, call your cousin on June 21 2009 and tell her not to get into that car.
