Sharka Bosakova is one of our incredible designers who will be featured in our International Women’s Day Runway Show on Sunday, March 8th at Rainbow Beach directed by Jacinta Richmond.
Sharka Bosakova’s self-titled label is an expression of sophisticated and relaxed luxury for contemporary women. The brand explores advanced simplicity, freedom of movement, comfort and elegance and fulfils the desire to own a timeless piece of minimalist luxury.
Established 2011 in Australia and in collaboration with different artists, movers, makers, artisans and visionaries in a fusion of diverse art forms, the label creates exclusive products in limited editions. Sharka Bosakova garments and jewellery are stocked in boutiques and galleries across Australia and Europe.
Native to Czech Republic, Sharka Bosakova completed a Bachelor degree in fashion design at the University of Liberec and Masters degree in theatre set and costume design at the Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. She moved to Australia and studied at QUT in Brisbane, graduating with a Masters Degree in Creative Industries. Sharka is active in the Industry as a designer for over 15 years, working on projects and productions including ballet, contemporary dance, new music, opera, play and film.
The Sharka Bosakova emphasis is on quality execution with strong, uncluttered aesthetic that merges form and function. It is bold, experimental and conceptual, merging past and current trends to create designs with a timeless essence. The self-titled label is an expression of sophisticated and relaxed luxury for contemporary women, translating the art of movement into simple, timeless garments that are easy to wear. The label embodies European urban elegance combined with a sophisticated coastal feel, taking you effortlessly from city to beach.
Sharka divides her time between further learning and collaborating in Brisbane and high end resort life inspiration on the Sunshine Coast. Sharka Bosakova will showcase her stunning collection as part of the fashion parade at the International Women’s Day Festival – Rainbow Beach.
